I would like to believe that, in a normal, healthy relationship, that both partners would go outside of themselves, forego their personal safety net. It is called love, a simple 4 letter word to which countless literature has been written, spanning eternity!

It is that feeling one gets in a relationship when the happiness or serenity for the other, outweighs the feeling of that individual, without regret, without remorse. It comes from the heart. And it feels good too.

While it is not always an easy process for some people to do, it is very necessary for the survival and endurance of the relationship. It is a cornerstone, a building block, a foundation, which can not be learned. It has to come straight from the heart, not from the head or its value is lost and meaningless!

Why is it both guys and girls always look for each other while maintaining a wolf pack mentality? The answer is, it is safer!
Safer, maybe, but your chances of meeting are reduced by a factor of who you are with. Women are notorious for traveling with an entourage. Remember this fact ladies, men are visually hardwired
If they are the support system for one of the girls, bottom line is they better not be prettier than she, or her chances of a connection wane.
The same logic holds true for men, but to a lesser degree.

People always go for the tried and proven places and methods to find
one another, be it a bar, mall, or social event, what ever.
I have found a different approach to this by simply doing the obvious.
I eat alone! It sounds all to simple and lackluster but it works.
There is no entourage of people around me so, by percentage, my chances go up! I usually do this during lunchtime, and at restaurants close to busy office buildings, near where I work.

The lunch crowd seems to bring the most amount of women, and it is a short period of time, so your timing is critical. You must use that time in the best way possible. After two or three times to the same place at the same time, you get to know the “regulars” who frequent that establishment. You also get a good idea of who is single, married, or possibly on the prowl, as they do too !

I make it a point to smile and say hello to the regular females that I feel an attraction to. Soon, I’m having lunch with them, having conversations with them, and see where it could possibly lead.
If a connection doesn’t happen then…. I wanted lunch anyways ! Lol

Money can buy many things, material things for a somewhat material world. It can afford the holder certain luxuries as well as necessities. But it can not buy love! Sure, some people love money. But there is a difference between the love for money and being happy with what money can provide.

I now jump to online dating and some of the profiles of women I have read. So many women are deluded in to thinking that money provides happiness. Happiness must come from within.
“I need my knight in shining Armani” or “I want a rich man only” or “I want to be spoiled like the princess that I am”.

Do women actually believe that they will attain “class” if they have money? They will certainly not! They will have wealth, but not class.
To those women out there who believe that it does, I say the following:
Money does not buy class,
It does however, buy shoes ! lol

No, I have not found her as of yet, that is just the title, but I have dated enough women to become fully aware of one thing. Women like to argue with their men!
They say that they are just venting. Maybe that is how they feel inside, but when you hear the tone of their voice when doing so, it comes off loud and firm!

Ok, women like to vent and men try solve problems. But in an argument, with both sides trying to win their case, women many times bow out, not gracefully, and not to give in, but to end it quickly. They won’t agree with you, but they will always think that they are right. Even when they are wrong, they are right! At least to them.

To all you guys out there, beginning a relationship or in one, or for those contemplating marriage, remember these words:
When you say, “I found Miss Right” be sure her first name isn’t Always!

What is it that women, in general, find most coveted in a man?
His salary, I surmise! Since women need to feel secure, especially in a relationship, financial security is paramount. A mans earning capability (his paycheck) is scrutinized before the “relationship” actually takes hold. Being a male, I don’t particularly like that.. But I can understand that.

Furthermore, women like change. Let me reiterate. Women have a desire to find a man, then spend time trying to change him, or his behavior. Is it the desire to nurture or an evil of always attempting to bend a mans will to feed her wants and needs? The malleability or hammering a man to her desired shape. Is it to feed her ego or to help I wonder.

Women are thought to be the weaker, fairer sex of the genders.
They are certainly the most dangerous, conniving, and devious species with a capacity for attempting to break a mans will!
We males know that, try to accept that fact, and sometimes revolt!
But they do get the gold medal for trying!

Have you ever heard the saying, Don‘t make the same mistake twice”? Well, I was doing some food shopping (ugh!) and was walking down the aisle, and overheard a girl in the next row speaking in a voice quite familiar to me. It was a girl I had dated some 5 years back, but whose name completely eluded me.

I quickly made it to the end of the aisle to peek at her and yet not be seen. Unfortunately, she was also at the end of her aisle and we “ran” into each other. We started up a conversation consisting of simple short questions and answers, followed by subtle questions as to what I’ve been doing since we broke up. She kept talking and talking, and didn’t have the courtesy to let me get a word in edgewise.

To my self I thought, oh yea, Jaime, that was her name. At the same instant I suddenly remembered why we broke up. She was a yacker, and that was ok, but she never let me or anyone else get a word in edgewise. When she asked “So, are you seeing anyone”? my answer was a very snappy YES, excused myself, and got out of there post haste!

I work in a large, multistory building, so observing people and behavior has become a bit of a hobby for me. Couple that with the fact that there are so many “regulars”, those with whom you see and speak to everyday. Makes good fodder for my Blog! I find it amazing to observe the dynamics of personal interaction. Of course you see the usual couples, most of which are about the same age group, but now I have seen something new. At least new to me! There is this woman who works in the building who roughly, I would say is in her mid to late fifties. No spring chicken, but an attractive lady for her years. I say that because I’m in her age bracket!! Really, she has aged very well. So well that she gets a whole lot of attention from the 20-30 year old males that also work in the building. As of late, she has focused her attention (or intention) on one male about 21-25. She has become quite obvious that she and this guy have something going on, at work, and who knows what else after work! He is completely enamored with her, although she is at least twice his age. Who’ld have thunk!

They carry on like any couple, are always seen together, and always seem to be having a good time. However, they do get a lot of looks and stares from people passing by, probably wondering if they are a couple or mother and son. They simply couldn’t care less, and that is a great attitude for them to have.
She is a cougar, and he is the cougar’s pet!

In our never ending quest to be happy, many men spend a great deal of time and effort searching for their ideal woman. Knowing what type of female we are attracted to is not all that difficult but knowing where to find such a person can be very frustrating indeed. What it all boils down to is being in the right place at the right time, and knowing what to do and how to act accordingly! Basically timing and action.

The first place that comes to mind in an attempt to find a dream girl would be the dance clubs and bars. Going out to a night club can be lots of fun especially if you are a good dancer, but it can also be intimidating if you are shy and do not like crowds. And potentially embarrassing if you don’t know how to dance.

Bars are another option but if you’re not much of a drinker, you probably won’t have a very good time and do you really think you will find your dream girl in a bar? A girl, yea, but your dream girl? .. probably not! The bar scene though is a good place to explore, but it is more ideally suited for younger people, those guys and gals who are in their 20’s who are first learning about the art of dating, and for men who are going through the “conquer” stage. A few glasses of vodka and everyone is ideal! Till the next day! lol

The beach can be a great place to meet women if you are not bashful about approaching a total stranger half naked. Even if you are unable to connect with an attractive female, at least you can work on your tan while enjoying the outdoors. Of course, being half naked and having an overhanging beer belly is not condusive to picking up a pretty girl.

Supermarkets can be another way of meeting someone but a guy can look very foolish hanging out in front of the produce section with a big smile on his face hoping for the right woman to walk by. However, this option can work if you are a divorced male with a totally bewildered look on his face, and gets the sympathy and compassion of a similarly divorced female. Kind of like a pity pickup! Lol

Going to parties or some kind of social gathering can be a great way to meet people if you have the good fortune of being invited to such an event. Parties can be lots of fun and you never know who you might run into it. But in these situations you must be bold, show confidence, be assertive. Or, look for the wallflowers and just strike up a conversation. It works!! The main thought to keep in mind is that your ideal female is out there but she isn’t coming to you. You have to make the effort to find her.

How many of you out there get along with your ex? That many, huh! Well, I happen to be one who does. Friends of mine ask me all the time how I do it, or better yet, how I deal with it! It is actually quite simple. I learned that you can not change a persons behavior. Only they can make the change. If it is a behavior that annoys me to great extent, I sever the relationship of boyfriend/girlfriend. As the title of this post says, “An ex is an ex because”.

There are a myriad of reasons to break up in a relationship. Some make perfect sense, others come from the heat of the moment. Some say I don’t burn bridges. This is very true of me. What’s the point of fighting over something that has already happened and caused the breakup? That part is over and done with. It’s a small world, and I’ve chance encountered many ex girlfriends. However, in all honesty, I have never re-dated a past girlfriend. The things that she or I did to each other to cause the breakup would still be present, and would only cause another round(s) of drama. Life goes on!

We got the tree into the house, still tied up with cord and began the ordeal of cutting the tree trunk to match the base we had. What a mess! Lol. What started off as an almost 9 foot tree was slowly being whittled down. By the time it fit into the base, it was a whopping 7 footer! But it looked nice in a corner of the living room. We then cut the cord binding it, but forgot to move it away from the corner. So, in an instant, the boughs spread out, hitting the wall, then toppling over. In its path to the ground, it hit the coffee table knocking over a dish with a million brown M&M’s in it.

Our carpet is also brown and they almost perfectly blended into it. It was just too funny for words. And that was good because at first I felt like saying a few “choice” words!!! So after a ten minute vacuuming, thus making the living room smell like a chocolate factory, we were done with the initial tree setup. Later we would dig out the lighting from the garage, yards and yards of lighting. I have to remember to check my fire insurance policy and Florida Power and Light! This year brought me a new gf, and so, it was decided that she decorate the tree, while I would decorate the house. So it was written, so shall it be! Yes, sometimes I am the boss of my house, not always, but sometimes.
