Has anyone out there ever got caught up in this type of situation? It is a situation, not a lifestyle. Gender has no bearing in this predicament. It starts out nice enough. You and your significant other are in love. You do everything together. You are a union of two souls. You both have found your proverbial soul mate, your other half. You feel complete! God, I hate that coined expression! But I have found that there can be more than one of the aforementioned.
You find your soul mate, and for whatever reasons, you break up, nicely and dignified, or angrily with venom spewed. You hurt, you’re sad, and a period of bereavement ensues. Then you one day find another love. And you both are that union of souls, barf! I, however, through no direct desire on my part, got caught in two emotional worlds. It was something I didn’t plan on, contemplate, or inwardly fantasize about! Well, maybe just a little ! Lol. We had a mutual friend. Since we were an “established couple”, we felt no problems would occur if our friend, actually her girlfriend, would tag along once in awhile when we go out.
OK, guys, this is for you. You know that feeling you get when you believe a girl is attracted to you. That spider-sense? It ‘s that feeling that emanates in the groin region and quickly escalates up the spine and puts that shit eating grin on your face. Wow! She’s hitting on me. Then reality bites, and I ass-ume she is just being nice and friendly. I thought that until I started getting suggestive emails on my work computer. I played this little “game” for a brief period of time before telling my girlfriend of this. I said it half jokingly to her that I was getting hit on by our friend. Now I’m a one woman man, and although I did get off a little on this, I’m not a cheater. But she had many attributes which my girlfriend lacked, and I desired. So, my GF laughed, and emphatically told me that HER friend would never do that. I said alright, and dropped the subject, post haste!
It turned out she confronted her friend later in the week. Somehow or other, they ended up ganging up on me. That I was the bad one! I got double teamed and backed in a corner into which I didn’t deserve to belong. While individually they possessed every trait I desired, together they became the devil incarnate. So to all who have read this Post, if you find yourself in a similar set of circumstances, and your spider-sense alerts you…be afraid, be very afraid!
